Development of a decision support tool for Climate resilient Critical Site network in the African-Eurasian flyway

Climate resilient Critical Site network in the African-Eurasian flyway: This project was developed by Rubicon and builds on the Wings Over Wetlands (the African-Eurasian Flyway) project, which Rubicon staff had been involved in 2006 and 2010. The project aims to support the conservation of Critical Sites through integrating their ecological requirements into ecosystem-based climate change adaptation measures at national and local level. Rubicon leads on the development of a decision support tool using hydrological and species distribution modeling. The project is funded by the International Climate Initiative of the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety (BMUB) of Germany on the basis of a decision adopted by the German Bundestag and by the Agreement on the Conservation of African-Eurasian Migratory Waterbirds (AEWA).
